Ingredients
Dough
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/2-3/4 cups flour
Topping
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1/6 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 medium or 3 small cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Add water to a bowl and sprinkle in yeast and sugar. Let stand for a few minutes.
- Mix in the rest of the ingredients, adding flour gradually.
- Knead for several minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.
- Mix all topping ingredients.
- Cut dough into small pieces and shape into dough balls.
- Dip each into butter mixture and place into a round cake pan or a bread pan.
- Cover and let stand for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 180°C and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Brush lightly with butter and sprinkle some salt.
